Cornell Landmark
by CanBabaoglu
A Cornell landmark. CTB is a great analogy for life at Cornell. The food (your Cornell experience) is good but expensive, the place (Ithaca) is charming but old and wierd, the employees (Cornellians) are friendly but not beautiful.
- Pros: great taste
- Cons: expensive
Great place for bagels, scones, sandwiches
by HappyTransplant
Collegetown has good bagels, for upstate. I really like their scones. I've had sandwiches, breakfast food, tea, bagels, cookies, soup, bread and many other offerings from here and have not been disappointed at all. The wait can be long on a Saturday or Sunday morning. Some of their bagels are a little weird (Banana nut should never be made into a bagel.) but you can get a decent sesame or poppy bagel.
- Pros: Variety of foods offered, price
- Cons: It's a deli so the decor isn't fantastic.
Esse quam videri, my friends, esse quam videri!
by freakonomist
This place is utter crap. The staff is obviously hired because of how "funkay" and "hip" they are rather than because of their experience or professionalism. They managed to screw up my breakfast order, which requires effort in the first place. I would've taken what they gave me rather than what I ordered, but the dumb person at the cash insisted that I wait for the right order. After 20 minutes, I decided to just leave that place. I can't be bothered with unprofessional service (yes, I know, I should move out of Ithaca then!) and those people just can't be bothered with doing their jobs right. Oh well, they have a quasi monopoly, which this review won't even be able to dent, unfortunately.
- Pros: Location
- Cons: They should hire people with experience, not just hip-looking people.
