Ricks Rental = RIPOFF. My experience was and is still ongoing with Glen and Sue of Ricks Rental World. I had to cancel my wedding out in the Finger Lakes. I had given a 250.00 dollar deposit even though I only needed to give 150.00. I did this in good faith. When I cancelled I was told on the phone that I would receive a 100.00 dollar refund. I waited 2 weeks, NOTHING... I emailed again, called again, twice to no avail. I emailed yet again and was told that this is HIS busy season and that a check would be mailed that day. NOTHING... I suppose if I were a man, perhaps he would be good on his word, however, I am now having to travel 4+ hours, take the day off work (I work in Albany and am in the flood zone), just to get back my overpayment on deposit. I am willing to share my story with anyone who is even considering renting wedding items from this place. My advice is go to Crystal City rentals,11973 East Corning Road Corning, NY 14830. (607) 962-0830. This gentleman took the time for me but didn't have any more dance floors to rent.

Terrible experience. Unbelievably poor experience. We reserved chairs almost 3 months in advance for our wedding; however, we were told 1 week before our wedding that they had overbooked and the chairs we reserved were not available for us. They said that they told us 1.5 weeks earlier they were not available, which is still ridiculous, and was not true; they just asked if we were interested in changing our chairs because they were getting alot of requests for them. Would not accept responsibility or even apologize, just kept saying that they it usually works out but didn't this time. Actually hung up on me when I asked for them to say the words "we are sorry".

Great rental place!. Great Rental Place. Very helpful and reasonable rates. I rented three seperate outdoor equipment items from them and they were extremely helpful in teaching me how to use them and even drove all the way out to my house when I couldn't get one to work for me. The staff is pleasant, helpful, and knowledgable. Will definitely see them for any of my future rental needs.
