Inedible Food and No One Cared. I dined at this restaurant on NYE this past year. I had ordered a filet cooked medium and was served a barely rare steak. Since it was a 2"+ thick piece of meat, there was just no way to chew through this uncooked meat. The waitress offered to have it fired a bit more for me and after waiting almost 15 minutes I was served ANOTHER barely rare piece of meat. At this point everyone else at the table was done and I gave up. Since we were with a larger party I chose to email the restaurant the next day to say something rather than make a stink on a holiday in person. AFTER EMAILING TWICE AND CALLING ONCE I NEVER RECEIVED A CALL BACK OR AN EMAIL BACK. THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED THAT I PAID FOR FOOD I NEVER ATE!!!!

conFUSION food. This is supposed to be a fusion restaurant but I find it mostly confusing. I thought you were supposed to use different culinary influences to create new tastes but these guys just mix and match without putting any thought into it. The food is decent; it just doesn't flow from dish to dish.

Best date/ anniversary dinner. On our first anniversary my husband and I went to madeline's for dinner. He couldn't have choose a better place then here. The food was excellent and so was the atmosphere. It was a warm cozy feel with a modern mood which to me is quite unusual because modern design is usually cold. But the'yve pulled it off very well in creating warmth and intimacy for their guests. My only complaint my one and only complaint is simply the seating, the long 2 chair sofa booth seats are uncomfortable to sit at the tables with. But eveything else is excellent! Come meet me for my first drink here this December and perhaps I'll write a review of their cocktails!

Excellent!. One of Ithaca's best restaurants! In fact, it could easily thrive in cities like NY and San Francisco -- it's that good. The service is excellent, the wine list is also great, and the food is superb.
