Severely Overpriced and Suspicious of Work

I am suspicious of the work that I had done at Monro because I had to get the same work done a little over one month later because the work that I had gotten done had failed. I had my breaks, rotors and calipers worked on and just about 1,000 miles later, when I brought my car in for an oil change (to another body shop) they stopped me and said that my breaks were in bad shape and needed to be redone because the work had not been done correctly the first time. They looked at my receipt from Monro and explained that I was overcharged by at least 3x the standard amount. Please consider going elsewhere for your work, although the more people that I speak with about this...the less faith I have in mechanics. They all seem to be out to take advantage of their customers. There seem to be no laws in place for automotive shops and this is something that needs to change.
- Pros: My car drove for 1,000 miles before needing the work redone.

scam!

I brought my car in for a simple oil change. They pumped all my tires up to 45 (way too high), and now one of them has a leak. They are either ridiculously inept, or trying to break my tires so I will come back. They also screwed up the sticker they put on my windshield, so that it looked like I was due for another oil change after 1000 miles. Save yourself some trouble and don't go there!
- Pros: cheap, walk-in, good magazine selection
- Cons: they'll break your car on purpose!

Don't Go Here!! It's a SCAM!!!

Horrible experience at Monro. Each time we've taken in our relatively new car, they've told us we need a repair, ALWAYS between $400-$600. The last few times, I've politely declined. Each time we'd bring the car in following (for oil changes, yearly inspections, etc) they'd bring something up new, and wouldn't mention they prior "essential" repair. I finally called them out on this, stating that issues they'd said that HAD to be resolved weren't mentioned in subsequent visits. These people will act nice, but lack the most basic of ethics and will take every opportunity to take advantage of you. Seriously, DO NOT GO THERE!!!

- Cons: Everything from price to service to quality of products
