A lot of hoopla for nothing much. Brought a friend for a special brunch. Because it was crowded, we were herded into an upstairs annex, where nothing was served - not even coffee. We were up there for about 40 minutes. Finally we were brought down to a table for two, where we waited even longer for service. The food, when it came, was decent, but nothing special. Mine was cold, had to send it back. A side of sausage was delivered naked and unattractive on a huge white plate. While everyone who worked there seemed very nice, they were overall incompetent servers and mediocre chefs. Sadly, I am not tempted to go back. Someone recently wrote in the Ithaca Times that we have no good brunch places here; despite the Carriage Houses's reputation, this remains true.

Best brunch. Are you kidding me? 7.2?

This is the BEST brunch food ever offered in Ithaca. Take your friends and order Almond stuffed french toast and you'll get an wow out of every single one of them. The atmosphere is wonderful as well, very cozy and friendly.
